This is funny as hell, what is the use of having a draft when people are openly saying they only want to play with certain people?
If thatās the case you may as well just say go make your own teams.

Yeah I kinda agree with this.
The issue with IC at the moment is that theres about 25 active players - youāre always going to potentially end up with people you donāt like. But therein is an entirely new issue - whats the point in playing a game if youāre being made to play with people you donāt likeā¦ it is a game to have fun after allā¦

Which is why Iāve been arguing since forever we should have full draft fams. (Regular draft, not turn based picks)

The reason for my post, is that with this setup, there are 3 fams that will be contenders, and 3 that will be fighting for dead last. Kingray your a nice guy, i have never honestly had a problem with you, but I think its time you let others lead. Swagga, you just need to stop, you captained last round and were replaced by your family as leader on like day 2. THIS SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING. Im not saying you shouldnt play or anything like that, you just should not be captains and leaders. As for snedier, yeah the game uses discord, and isnt some fantasy rpg world or whatever you want it to be.
There is no sure fire way to decide who should be and shouldnt be captains. The same can be said of no good way to random into fams. Sometimes you do have to play with folks you dont get along with, it happens. But the more we can find a way to limit that, the more we can ensure a fun atmosphere for players, and work on growing the player base again.

Iām going to prove most of you wrong.
And while weāre at it get the facts straight- I said at the beginning of last round that I was picking a team thatāll grow beyond me. I also said I was going to be Flipās (MEMEGAās) Puppet.
Before the round began I made Flip Infra-Master to be in charge of infra building, jumps, planet- passing, and the like.
So Flip made a plan, which I as fam leader deviated from.
Flip got upset and Mutinied.
Big News Right?
It worked to the famās advantage for while until Flip targeted SUUPAH as well as I.
Thatās when the fam went inactive until EOR jumps.

Just because they say that, doesnāt mean it will happen.
Especially towards the end of the draft, people will have fewer options and may not end up on the team they want. Thatās part of how this works.
This is just as true with other rounds, especially with random joins. This isnāt a new issue.
As a reminder, the players voted for this even with its flaws. Weāre not changing our setup for this round, but general feedback on this process is welcome here.

Nail on the head. The captain choices are the reason I aint putting my hat in the ring. There is 2/3 there that nobody wants to be picked by.

Ask everyone that I have ever had in my fam that I have āledā in the past few monthsā¦do I actually lead. I ALWAYS let other take the leadā¦Iām normally just there for diplomatic relationsā¦and Iām normally just hold the leader tag. Ask Hala, and Ordos if I did any actual āleadingā this round. I did not.
Your argument is invalid. Last time I actually lead a fam was last year 
. So trust me other people always lead in my famsā¦

Captains arenāt the family leaders.
The captains are here to lead drafting, and the resulting family can choose whichever leader they want out of that group.
If anybodyās gripe with this setup is about whoās going to lead, then that has nothing to do with this actual setup itself.
