@Lord_Pickle thanks for the reminder. I do think we should count that as bailing out though, unfortunately. It may render you ineligible for the next one, if it makes any difference to you.
It’s a problem if we get a bunch of players dropping out because they don’t like their family options. We need a deterrent to this.

We should deter players signing up and dropping out at any point, regardless of how early.
To clarify: that’s ineligible for the next Playground Draft, not regular rounds.

As mentioned elsewhere though, we are looking at overhauling this anyway. If you fear this process kills the game, consider your fears assuaged.
I disagree with that. While many times there are non legitimate reasons for people to leave a specific family, there are legitimate reasons as well. And punishing people for that will only drive players away.
Honestly punishing them for non legitimate reasons will probably drive them away as well.
If players sign up to a draft, they are agreeing to play regardless of what the teams are. If they bail because they didn’t like the team they got, then are going back on that agreement.
This whole process only works if players agree that they will play, even if they don’t get the team they want.
If players can’t agree to that, they shouldn’t sign up. If they do sign up and go back on that, they should be considered ineligible for the next one.

I do think it matter at what moment you say you won’t play anymore. If not, clicking the vote button (the one you can’t undo in this forum) becomes a punishing act in itself, if you accidentally click it, you might get fucked bigtime.

I’m aware @Hala. There is a lack of communication on staff part because this is moving faster than we can keep up with.
It’s not fair to @Lord_Pickle that he is punished for that, which is why I said he may be considered ineligible. We are still figuring out how to handle this.
What we need to prevent now is a handful of players already indicating that they will also bail if they don’t get the team they want, which is unfair to everybody.
Lets say, i sign up, and get drafted, 2 days into the round, i have to back out, for wharever reason. Your honestly going to omit me from the next round?

@MTG_Dad I honestly don’t know. The impact on the team is the same regardless of the reason.
What’s to stop you from making up a reason to use, when the real reason is that you don’t like your team?
None of this is set in stone, but it is a problem that we need to figure out.

And thats the problem. The 3 options are you and the “staff” investigate reasons, or your allow any reason to leave, or you punish everyone who leaves.
Option 3 has a higher probable chance of running off players.
That’s speculation though. I think option #2 would cause more players to leave.
Neither one of us knows for certain, but ultimately I have to make the call.
I’ve had this conversation like everytime I’ve come to play a few rounds over then last 15 years or so I remember when a chat formed 20 years or so ago and it took players off the site to IRC or discord and it ruined the game chatters discussed ways to cheat against the players and form ways to win other than playing the game
It’s was sad and still is now all this crap it’s like a different game every round how do you expect new players to learn the game or take breaks and come back to us . ".Staff edit: calm down an don’t get banned for using words you don’t mean …there should be old school rounds with set rules and times and there should be this B’s do whatever you want chat plot behind people’s backs and change the rules so shtty gamers can play .
