You’ll notice, however, that my initial reply remains where it was. I do not think that one itself was posted incorrectly. So your hypocrisy “score” doesn’t quite add up, but if you want to see me as a hypocrite too you are entitled to that opinion.

I did read all the posts btw, and I was aware that my post would disrupt the momentum. I saw that as necessary because I didn’t like the road it was going down.
In this exceedingly unusual case I respectfully disagree that it was even a remotely good idea for you specifically to post anything that spoke to anyone. It took control of the conversation and made it your own without thought or cause for why anyone would do what I was doing.

You assume too much. I understood what you were doing, but that doesn’t mean I will sit idle if you are saying things that I think are unfair and harmful to the community.
Players telling other players that they are bad for the game is something I’ve long had a distaste for. My opinion has always been that such ire should be directed at the game itself, as players are only working within the game’s framework.
It’s amusing to me that you are quipping that I only talk to people that will give me answers I want to hear. It was not long ago that people were saying that you were such a person kissing my ass lol. This whole situation should be evidence enough that I am not interested in sycophancy.

Anyway, to put a productive turn on this, I’ve added Galactic Congress Forums to the #roadmap:to-do list. This will give you and others a more appropriate platform for what you wanted to do here.
If you want a leaders-only platform that is free from outside influence, I recommend voting for that idea. #universal-news is and always should be open for anybody and everybody, from me as the owner to the newest newb.

I was unaware of your level of distaste considering reaction to the times I have seen the accusation leveled in the past. However I have missed time, and may have missed the development of your response to this accusation.
I actually agree that it is a horrible thing to say to another player.

Actually, that was a very general statement directed to the community at large and the propensity for a group or clan of like minded players to insist their point of view is the right/only one.
This factored greatly into in why I created the Surrender thread.
Many of those prominent players present themselves honorable, I was willing to put my pride aside to give them no choice but to prove it.
Pretty clear where everyone stands now, some have it, some have it when it’s convenient, some do not. At least now, the ambiguity of the players involved is now lifted.
This was not intended for your amusement (perhaps bemusement if you agreed), nor to suggest that you are some kind of herd follower.

You’d be surprised to hear what my biggest critics think motivates me.
I’m coming to realize that this all needed to happen in order for IC to shake out its underlying communication issues.
Not quite a “necessary evil”, but maybe more like self-inflicted tough love to show us the game’s shortcomings that are less obvious but still hugely significant.
To that end, I’m very thankful. This situation is pushing the game to its limits and forcing us to adapt. It is a catalyst for growth.
