Upcoming Schedule

Just looking for the skeleton of the rounds.
Is there drafting?
Dates.
Basic format.

I would find it really helpful to have a schedule out a good six months or more.

Lots of room for leeway here.
I think it might let those of us wishing to play with our friends plan their lives a bit further out.

Perhaps we can look into an addition to the like this:

April 1st - Super Nova 69

  • 12:00 AM GMT
  • Solo Galaxy
  • No market
  • Anon enabled

May 1st - Andromeda 69

  • Whatever Andro is
  • Whatever market Andro uses
  • Whatever things makes Andro… Andro

May 15th - Milky Way 69

  • 12:00 AM GMT
  • Link to an ongoing vote if that’s what’s gonna happen
  • Something about market delay
  • Whatever things makes MW… MW these days

Guys, it is a just an example of a schedule.
Lol.

I am tossing a long term schedule out as an idea. <3

Lol figured so but wanted to clarify haha
14:00 Gmt is hard for north Americans in winter months do to daylight savings so any earlier would be terrible haha

I do like the idea though but with having so many rounds pre planned we may start seeing players choose rounds that they play and sit out making it less competitive. Could work the opposite way as well though.

I’ve said so many times that more needs to be done regarding start time; but more importantly looking at the 5 dead ticks between starting and waiting for those CF to build before being able to explore.

It’s really quite simple:

Make everyone start with their home planet already half built with HFs rather than just having 10 built; and give everyone 3 Explos to start with. Then, you’re bringing forward the explo landing and subsequent build; will exponentially improve/increase Explo phase and most importantly - the SOR won’t be boring for newcomers. Imagine starting a game and then being told you have to wait 5 hours before you can do anything useful?

Maybe even in all maps make sure there’s a good cluster of close systems (as an extra bonus, mind).

These changes will also see a huge change in starting strategies to mix things up a bit etc

14:00 GMT is 9:00 AM CST. That’s pretty much the perfect start time, you’ll be online to start shit, for eships to finish, and eships to land.

For years and years, the round start time was 17:00 GMT. Meaning euro’s had to stay up freaking late for sending ships and being there when they land to build them immediately, now finally people are considering other options, please don’t bitch at suggestions.

@Hala
The contents are just for show - was just (rather unclearly it seems) showing how it might look in the “Gate” page.

The proposition is for a six months (or more) schedule so (let’s say) if you and I wanted to plan a round where you attacked and I pop-banked but I have a wedding in August and you have a new kid expected in October… we would know what was coming up in November where we could team up and play like that.

I would love to play with my buds more often (or solo like in SN) but I am always getting messaged 3 days before a 45 day round kicks off.

We are older now. Most of my fav teammates are not in my hemisphere. We could use this time to pick rounds that fit our times or knock some of the rust off in a less competitive gala as we wait for the rounds we really want to play.

A bi-annual or even annual schedule may facilitate that for this game’s rapidly aging population.

Yea I know, I was referring to Cells’ comment

@Hala

Rgr that.
So who do I @ to get someone to consider that?
Like I could bomb all meh peeps - but someone is mod-ish-ing know who? (Honestly I kind of thought it was you).

Also… lol if you ever want to play in a shitshow like you attacking and me pop banking - let me know. We could “run the table in reverse”. =)

This means when attacks start attackers must be awake at 5 am in order to on in time. This is a terrible start gmt time for north Americans unless your a player who only does infra. Please don’t bitch at suggestions and comments.

An important consideration!
Long term it may give us more of what we want. 'Twill be pretty easy to see which Uni’s fill up and which don’t.

Guys, if you want big fams, and good opponents to play against - vote.
Maybe let your cohorts know this is possible.

:woman_shrugging:

Everyone is hung up on the times, it’s a blanket template… the idea is what’s posted, and it’s a great idea honestly.

I upvoted the idea

You can also if you like it
