You better not be hoping for them 100 spots to fill, almost half of them would need to be new players and all of those new players would need to know something about the game to not be stuck in home system all game. The round will be full before attacks and then the rest of the game is the big meathead SS players just attack heavy starting and forcing everyone on retakes for 3 weeks
100 isn’t expected; that number is fairly arbitrary. We don’t have a way to add new families after round start and because SN is solo, that means we can’t add spots like we can in normal galaxies.
100 is there to prevent us from hitting a cap. It may as well have been 200, or 50.
Regardless, I don’t get the assumptions that the spots would need to be filled by new players, or that new players who just passed Virgo wouldn’t know how to explore. Neither of those things are true.
If we did somehow fill up, with new players or otherwise, it wouldn’t be a bad thing.
