That the current player base is just plain bad and uncreative.

What was your least favorite part of the round? again too big teams, this round AGAIN should be evidence we dont have enough leaders to get these crew’s organized. + expo is way too long.

If you had 1 wish for the next round in this galaxy, what would it be? smaller teams. (start at 3 player fams and than add spots to 5 max)
First time playing in 14 years and I agree with this also. Drafting ruins the game for new players and old returning players who don’t know anyone to draft them. … Unless they get super lucky and random into a good family.
What was your least favorite part of the round?
The start of the round. Many inactive players in the family and it didn’t get better until mid of the round. I also found the exploration phase was quite long because there were many planets but not that many active players.

Playing with TIF, who turned out to be a great leader!
If you had 1 wish for the next round in this galaxy, what would it be?
Not sure if I continue playing, so don’t care. I’m not a big fan of many drafts, it shifts the balance too much in havor of the hardcore players and leaves new players or those with time restrictions not really a chance.
Getting my hopes up as i landed in what seemed to be a active good family. Promises made by the leader then abandoned by him and the other active player leaving 3 bankers and a ressie to fend for themselves. This could happen i a draft family but less likely as your friends hold you accountable. Its easier to abandon people you dont know.
The 4 of us reamining players bonded and made friends and made due to salvage a pretty shitty round.
Drafts drafts and more drafts. At the minimum 2 drafts please. Some of us are from 2003 and we play this to stay in touch with friends and talk some crap and enjoy. As much as i love meeting new people, its just not the same and it can’t be the same. If you have drafts then you have best of both worlds. Met plenty of good people who are still friends while playing with your ride or die friends as drafts.
All in all a crap round and not that it matters to admins or anyone else but i was telling my friends i play to play with you guys and if its not draft then peace out till it is.

Yea I think the best way to handle this is alternate between draft rounds and no draft rounds. Everyone is making very good points for both of those options, we should use both.

Whatever I would want in a round, once I suggested it would be drowned out by a cacophony of “not that, never that” - no matter what I suggested.
So I just keep reading the email updates and see if it looks fun.
Pipe in when they suggest making fundamental changes.
And, as always - try to convince ILP to give customs +10 meager race points.

I liked Hellz, WAD, Disey (when he was a little baddie) heck even Proton - but I let guys like that play in my family’s if they played legit.
I had Lizzy’s ear (well at least her respect as a strong Honor Code bound player) and vouched for them to get bans lifted under the condition that they play in my fams for a round and played fair.
Never had one of them go rouge.
I think Hellz was in one of thoes, but that might have been before I was running the show, I might have had to convince Umbri to allow him in the fam.
