After countless draft families, I like the randomness. Playing with new people, and not being able to hide behind a super group should make things interesting for everybody.
Of course this could have been handled better. Set clear expectations as to if the next round is a stay in family round or a full shuffle round and then follow through with it. Can’t keep setting expectations and then just pulling out the rug and pissing off a bunch of your player base, this is easily avoidable.
Personally I like the idea of having a shuffle round, followed by a stay in fam/draft round so players can get payback on those who wronged them last round, or build off chemistry from the previous round. Then once the second round is over, shuffle them up again.
Upon reflection, I’ve removed some of my argumentative comments here about the criticism.
While the stay in fam thing could have been avoidable, I don’t agree that doing so would have been “easy”. Despite what I see as an unreasonable assumption, I respect @Picklearmy’s opinion nonetheless.
you never respect my opnions, i have a feeling we are seeing some kind geographical raceism here, is this IC thrump taxes we see in play ? you north americans seems to gang up and make it hard for us Euro’s to flap our wings lately…

i agree with @Picklearmy, the shuffle was good and i hope it will be followed by a stay-in-fam round, bec one round u need to build up ur family and the next round u can thrive with the family u built up
