Yeah @Darrk is onto something important there. We all know how frustrating this game can be and a lot of work needs to be done still to help suss this stuff out. That this P-Mode thing was ever unclear represents a fault in how the game presents certain information and I am going to see how we can remedy that.

The early raid thing though, that is just part of the game, and surely The Horde have made others quit out of frustration before. What I see here is that The Horde is being challenged by a preemptive strike.

This move doesn’t reflect a lack of skill, it reflects a decision to lean on strategy over tactics. If The Horde fall apart as a result then these early raiders will have found that they made the correct decision.

Nobody owes anybody peace in this game. You can hold out for a “proper” war at your own risk, or you can accept the reality of early attacks and plan your defenses accordingly. This is all a matter of preference, risk, and reward.

It will be interesting how The Horde and “the mighty WS the god of attacking” handle being put in this tough of a spot. Whether they step up or lie down will be the measure of their skill. Words are cheap.

First of all it is the other way around and we have been allies since before round started… Horde started all of this with their ignorant and arrogant attacking display… I figured as with most explo wars nap would come quickly, but it sounds like it won’t.

Ok, here is my own update.

Pie has made his statement about the pmode issue so I have nothing to add or state regarding that.

My issue right now is the following:

  1. It seems to be a common thing now to expo raid people. Like, it seems like the only way for a fam to fight a good family (yes I am saying my family is good) is to expo phase raid them. I, personally, do not condone these types of tactics even though they are valid tactics to use. I think they lack skill to pull off and are actually quite difficult to stop if a fam is determined to do them. All they end up doing is ruining rounds in the end.

I know that everyone likes to keep saying “you should have had better defenses”. Ok, fair point! But tell me why I am “shit” at IC for not having better defenses against raids when 04 top bankers/ressies both had as low as 0 lasers to 14 lasers per planet. We raided them back easily until the pmode issue. Does that mean they are shit at IC too?

  1. “You are being expo phase raided last 3 rounds because your fam talks too much and brags too much”. Sure, I can see that some players are super petty and might target us based off of that. But then why is it that the other loud mouths of IC are not getting targeted as well? I don’t buy that this is the actual reason for the raids. I think that it definitely plays into it, that there are certain players out there who will look to raid us during times like expo phase. But if we had been 10th ranked, I doubt they would have cared as much to do so. No, I think the real reason is that they see us high in the rankings (as we usually are) and don’t wish to face us in a mid-round/late-round scenario where our attacker skills will actually cause them much more of a headache.

  2. If you cannot tell the difference between shit talking people for the sake of drumming up action in the forums and chat and take everything so personal, it is probably something you should figure out with yourself on a personal level. That is all I will say on that matter.

  3. Why is it ok for players who want to consider themselves good at this game to stoop to low tactics to beat other good fams? I know my thinking on this may be drastically different than other players (clearly) but I WANT to fight a pickle fam in a cancellation war. And Orbit and Munder etc. I want to fight them in it and I want to beat them in it. Now, if I lose a war like that against them, then they got the better of me and I feel it was well earned.

But right now all I see (and my family) are “good” attackers using low tactics to win wars/rounds. Whether it is the farming debacle of last round, exploring right next to us and portaling/raiding on t48 in MW63, or the expo phase raiding this round. We all supposedly love this game but the most fun moments in the game are being avoided at all costs by players who want people to believe they are good or great.

Meanwhile, I sit in my little corner trying to find fights that are “proper” and I can’t seem to get them because of the low tactics. Let me be clear, expo phase raiding is NOT hard. My fam could have raided 91, 04, and 94 already this round. We knew their laser counts and we knew what we could afford to end them. I did not let my family do it. I don’t like the style of play and I don’t want to be known as a farmer or expo raider.

If that means I cannot win rounds anymore, that I will have to accept that fact.

And by no means am I sitting here trying to say that Pickle, AW, Munder or any of the others involved are shit players. I am saying they seem to prefer resorting to low tactics against others and my fam more specifically rather than fight us in regular wars. It is aggravating I admit it. But it is not something that I take personal. It is not something that will chase me away from the game. It is not something that will make me change my code of play either. I will not stoop to that level of gameplay simply because everyone else wants to do it.

We the players have the power to decide how this game is played. If that is how you want it to be played, so be it. I will play middle to bottom rankings every round. But when one of you are ready to actually have a real challenge, let me know and we will have an absolute blast in some wars that could rival some of the past greats.

And with that whine piece, I will acquiesce to the winners of this war.

Horde has literally cheated by making multis and market aiding, tried to set up IAs with me last round while IA’s were not legal, and last round used morale exploit to put a player with 5 planets in middle of someones core knowing it would take more than 110% morale… lol where do you get off?

And for the record, I haven’t personally taken place in an explo raid in 9 or 10 rounds.

the horde is a good team no doubt, and they could regrow and be a power house again. but there are stubborn parts on both sides that is making peace impossible atm, sad but true. 1 side want to gain from the fight, 1 side dont wana pay and i cant seem to find the middle ground unortunatly, but i tried.

The Horde has cheated by making multis and market aided. We did not offer an IA so stop with that nonsense. I proposed an offer to your fam for a NAP but you said it might be considered IA and I said I would only do it if we knew that it would NOT be an IA. After that, we ended talks.

As for a morale exploit, that is not an exploit. It is something that has been in the game that way for quite a long time. Something Munder did to us in MW 61. We did not know it would cost some 110% morale. We knew it would cost around 40-50 per hit (and it did) so we gauged that Orbit would have 4 total attacks before the portal came in to clear it. Get your facts straight pickle.

Not sure who it was but someone asked for shares in a specific systems for a payoff later in the round … its not a big deal and I don’t care. Just don’t appreciate the holier than though attitude lol.

@I_like_pie I think I’m a newbie, I genuinely honestly did not know about that loophole ( again my wording might be wrong) but genuinely I did not know. I honestly thought that pmode means that when u lose half your planets then you are pmoded. Up until this round thats how its worked on me. Me from my perspective. I’ve been raided many times and it’s been half of what planets I had. I did not know that you can hold 10 planets for 48 then grab a 100 but if I lose only HALF of those initial 10 then its pmode. This can definitely be used as an amazing strategy which I will when I play again.

@Picklearmy broski I was genuinely giving credit to 04, its brilliant. Not for a moment did I use this as an excuse. And I wont, I just wanted this strategy or whatever u wanna call it be transparent for all of us to know. The formula. That’s all. I give 04 alll the credit for the raid, we got raided and Its our own fault completely . I mentioned that in my post. @Picklearmy I think maybe ur talking about someone else blaming this strategy or fluke. I never said it and I wont say it. I even told @HydroP when he explained it to me " what a brilliant strategy ". Wether on purpose or not ( never called for banning or blocked) its awesome. And I will for sure use this information. Its genius man. It’s a bit of a gamble but I truly respect it. Game changer!

@airwing gangster move man. U guys did awesome. We asked for it didnt we? Shit if another fam or players talked as much shit as we do , I would be gunning for them all day everyday! The satisfaction u guys must be feeling must be amazing and I’m happy for u guys. The talking shit before winning is and never has been my strategy. Ive never done it and I never will. I play to win but premature talking is asking for this to happen.

@Tezcatlipoca I think your referring to others not me about the unskilled part. It takes skill and mature veterans to do what was done and I take nothing away from anyone.

@Darrk clearly I missed alot! Lol. Was having an amazing trip to the states with my beautiful wife and woke up to a horror movie of a raid :crazy_face::crazy_face::crazy_face:.

For my part, 04 did what they had to do. And did it very good. And hurt us beyond recovery? Almost. I genuinely thought it was a loophole but from the replies it’s clearly a rule that’s been around for ages. I’ll put my newbie hat on!

Gluck and have fun! For all the beef going around. Just remember we r a bunch of cool 75 nerds! We use to have 5k players but now its us! Just us. Wether we admit it or not. We are all a family.
