I hate to do this but there is a HUGE loophole with the new battle formula, I am able to transport any amount of droids or soldiers with 1 transport.
Using the negative and positive balance between ground units.

There is no validation on the submitted numbers, allowing the negative to be input in the first instance.

There is no validation that there are sufficient transports to send the ground units submitted using this method. (This is an historic bug that didn’t used to matter because the following didn’t exist…)

The old code would validate sufficient transports were left before allow ground to engage, this would kill off the excess ground that would sneak through at point 2). As this doesn’t happen we can just send as much ground as we want and as long as there is 1 transport (which would be invincible due to the loss caps in place) it will resolve using the entire ground force.
If there are 0 transports and you only send ground the battle resolution seems to skip the ground phase (if trans > 0?)
