Alright, so what the heck is going on? Anybody care to give an objective update, Galactic-Journalist style?
I’m hearing stuff about early raids, people breaking NAPs, bitter rivalries, etc.
The people want to know! Of course, without the insults, that is.
So…
What’s the deal?
Ok I am not actually involved in this from an ingame perspective so I will give my take.
Swagga decided to raid MTG family during expo phase. Of course this does not sit well with MTG and TBO ad they are a smaller and mostly inactive fam. Words are spoken and it gets a little crazy between them all. Ultimately nothing is settled and Mtg and TBO are going to just screw with swagga rest of round.
I decided to comment on the issue in the channel we have for discussing issues. I point out I side with MTG because I think expo raiding is a crap tactic. However, in the sense of honesty I also point out how ironic it is that MTG is acting this way to swagga after how much he disagreed with me doing the same in regards to AW and pickle fam members last round. I told him not to “perpetuate the cycle” which is what he told me like 10x.
Naturally this really pissed him off. And although that was not my goal, truth can do that. Darrk makes a comment about IC radio and a possible rival radio (which has been mentioned before and MTG gets upset about) and MTG responds with “I will just cancel IC Radio and you can make one and see how it does with out me”. Makes a comment at me (he is mad at me) and leaves chat.
I still side with MTG. Swagga did something I wont ever support. But that doesnt mean I won’t be honest with MTG in his response. You can’t preach an ideology like he did to me and then go and do the opposite. Pick a side and stick to it.
No hard feelings towards MTG, I sympathize with you in the issue.
Not in Milky Way. No investment in this feud one way or the other.
I do not like expo raiding. I do not engage in expo raiding.
With that stated, I fully believe expo raiding should never be outlawed. It is the variable that adds spice and uncertainty to the early days of each round.
I suggested another broadcast, not a rival one.
I do believe the descriptions that were used were NSFW and “sister” broadcast to current IC radio.

Last Tuesday at 0200zulu, I, of fam 6515, get the brilliant idea to raid 6609 while they are ahead of us in planets and nw. We started the round with 3 players so we were at the bottom of the galaxy first and need to hustle to catch up the slack.
Emperor Lightgunz gets the infils on 09 for us at 1100zulu on Tuesday and we continue to plan. Meanwhile 09 is pushing expos to our core’s southern perimeter.
I notice 09 appears to be picking up players, and they are widening the gap in nw between us. Plus they are continuing to push north closer to us. In my experience that’s the beginning of a set up, so I grow more resolved to put some distance between them and my Bankers and Rezzors.
I consulted my fam and I proceeded to prep to declare war.
In a stroke of luck IC Death (Solid) disappears from their fam line up the same tick I declare war (T84).
On tick T86 6609 is still ahead of us in planets and nw so after all the planning I go for it and take 25 planets in one tick.
Then the next thing I know, MTG_ is in “Ride Or Die” chat asking me if there is a reason for attacking him.
I told him the facts of the planning and after that he decides to fill my ingame inbox 30x over the next few ticks with the word “Trash.”
So that’s the main course of it in a nutshell, in it’s entirety.
Game is dead, no drama

Sorry @MTG_Dad not really sorry but you werent calling aw and pickle trash when we got the shit end of the stick last round. In fact you were preaching peace and let bygones be bygones etc.
Sucks to be raided like that so no im not saying what swagga did was cool, but its allowed and it does ruin peoples rounds. Until.it happens to you, you dont truly know how it feels.

For me the worst part is this is the first time I’ve met MTG_, yet this is how he speaks to me in diplomacy. I think he is being a hypocrite in saying I’m the reason people quit IC, as he put it. I believe that notion is ludicrous.
Being The Infamous Swagga, It’s not all fun being targeted by the entire universe round after round, especially in a bottom fam, but it should teach you at the least, a bit of fighting fire with fire.

My point is MTG_ is crass, and hypocritical in his manor towards me.
The term, “Targeted”, and the phrase “Picked on” are interchangeable.
