So, the rankings of this PvC will be a bit dated obviously from when I started it, but I had to wait on leaders to respond to me. That being said, I am still missing some information and am offering no information on any family’s alliances whatsoever. There are a few really good eco families currently in the galaxy but I strongly expect to see some of them fall off as wars begin and the true attacking fams start to move up the ranks while the eco guys fall. That being said, if some of the strong eco fams can manage to get a large enough lead, who knows…maybe they will avoid conflict until they can out spend their enemies.
With the addition to alliances in this round, a family that is picked to potentially win could drop way out of the top 10 while a family not picked to compete for a top 10 spot could end up placing in the top 3. So always take these PvCs with a grain of salt this early as once any alliances start playing out, we will get a better understanding of what is going on in our little world.
1 #6504: Galactic Failures [58,11] 319,791 129
Lineup: Dukey, Remo, Orbit, IC_Death, Munder? Sol?
A fam of 6 and seem to all be pretty active. The 6th man has given them a bit of an advantage in terms of eco but only because they have a good plan and are sticking to it. They are closely located to a few of the top 5 fams so this could mean early fights or NAPs (or even alliances) with some of these fams.

2 #6503: Horde Returns [86,35] 275,069 123
Lineup: HydroP, Hellz, Scorp, Darrk, Whiteshadow
A 5-man fam that is keeping up with the 6-man eco giants currently. This could slowly turn over time as the 6th man pays off for 04 and 98. We will wait and see how that plays out. They are closely located to 2 of the top 4 fams currently which will make for an interesting time if there is no diplo involved between them. That being said, one of the 3 (probably 2) strongest lineups in the galaxy right now.
Quote: “ We are disorganized, have no short term skills, have less long term vison, no economy tricks, panic sell on the market like ever tick, are going to put off portaling till end of explo, have no more intra fam rivalries than we have players, we are not sure what "no IA means" have been rebuffed in every diplo attempt, and we wasted a fucking draft slot on darrk of all people. ” Darrk

3 #6498: Sesame Street [32,49] 254,917 136
Lineup: Pickle Army, Nightwish, Easyway, Zanharim, Hala, Frenzy.
Pickle always has a solid fam and solid eco strat so they are exactly where they are expected to be. In the top 5. They do not seem to be super interested in spreading currently and are just building a core and tons of eco. Their map position does make it tight for them around a few different fams so it will be interesting to see who they have aligned themselves with (if anyone) as the round progresses. 6 player fam as well.
Quote: “ Had a few minor hiccups which slowed our start a little bit, but our strength will come from attacking later in the round. After only winning meaningless NW last round, I am going to make sure the galaxy knows who the best attacker is in modern IC history. ” PickleArmy

4 #6494: The Justice League [58,33] 252,057 124

Located VERY close to the Horde and Galactic Failures. Possible alliances? Potential early conflict? We will see in the upcoming days/weeks on that front. One of the 5 player families that are rocking it in eco right now as well. While this fam clearly has very good eco working for them, they are lacking a bit in attacker experience. When they fight fams like the Horde or Sesame Street, they better be ready for a fight.
Quote: “ Difficult map position surrounded directly by the three top fams. It was looking promising near the start when we were one of few fams with 5 vs a majority containing 4 - the tables quickly turned and I think we are one of the few with 5 vs 6 now.
We recognise that starting resources and expo limits will cause us to exponentially fall behind in eco, but the fam has been very active and cooperative so far with no dramas at all We are pretty happy that we kept pace until a couple days ago and would be delighted with a top 5 finish. However, I suspect we are more likely to finish around 8th assuming we don’t get battered by all of the top 3 at some point. ” Ploddy

Another 5-man family that is rocking in eco. Player activity will always help out early on with eco in smaller fams but to be contending in the top 5 currently means you also have a solid eco plan to go along with it. They have a bit of space with smaller fams around them (except the Horde on their left) and could grow nicely and gain planets if they play it smart. However, from the lineup I currently have, they do lack a lot of experience and that may hurt them in the long term should they not have a strong ally to help them out.

They are just outside of the top 5-fams in eco but not so far behind they cannot catch up. Especially now that attacks can happen it could mean big things from them. Swagga attacking will help them gain planets and they have plenty of fams around them to pick from. They do have to watch out for 04 to their south but aside from that, plenty of moves to be made.

Lineup: Renegade, Sextans, pitbull, hellboy, MrBlonde, MagicMellor
A 6-man fam that seems to have had a few issues early on with activity that has stumped their growth a bit. They have 6504 to their south and 6500 to their west so do we see potential fireworks? I do not know their attacking lineup, but I do know renegade was with Darrk last round and will know and understand eco. So, if their attacking lineup is on par with what they should be able to do in eco, they will be a fam to contend with later in the round.

8 #6502: united states socialist return [47,67] 168,769 85
Lineup: Cells, MTG_Dad, Shumi, Ordos
Located in the middle of the map with plenty of hungry families surrounding them. They seem to have spread SUPER fast and got greedy while doing so. The cost? Pickle came knocking and took some of that spread away. It also tells me that the chances of there being an alliance there are not great so we could see a fight sooner rather than later. That being said, cells is a dogged fighter and if he has a good supporting attacker they could be hell to deal with. They need to get their eco on track though.
Quote: “ I think we have a good family and will have a lot of fun but a very hard round. We will not win but may do alright depending on diplomacy and hard work.
This round could be very strange do to alliances being available and it will be interesting to see what all happens ” Cells

9 #6499: Inactive and proud. [1,91] 162,698 102
Lineup: Rivan, Belg, UndeadBizarro, JustDoIt(Hell)
They have a decent lineup of players. But their map position is not great. For some reason being on a corner of the map creates tension with all sorts of families nearby who want to “protect” what they see as their area. This makes it very difficult for this fam to spread like they may want to and also hurt them in eco growth. Their lack of attacking power is going to be the part that hurts this fam.

A dangerous foe to their east and North (map wrap) could make it tough on this fam to expand their horizons unless they are willing to venture into the middle of the map. I do not have any information on their lineup so who knows, maybe they surprise me and turn into a real machine. As of right now, I cannot see them moving up too far without getting smacked back down. They will likely turtle unless they have a strong ally close to them.

Their map position is not something to be desired at all. They are not doing great in eco and have a lot of strong fams surrounding them. Will they find an ally? Will they get farmed? Or will they make smart diplo moves that allow them to survive and grow. I don’t have a lot of faith in them as of this moment.

Lineup: NewItaly, and a few former 67/63 players
They are pinched between 3 families you don’t want to be stuck surrounded by. On top of that, their eco is in the pits and they do not have highly experienced players to help them out. Seriously, find an ally or make deals with fams to survive so you can grow. If not, you are gonna get hurt. Also, go eat 05
Quote: “ We started the round as a group of four players, three player from former 63 and 67 and one no-showup (probably a multi) who got deleted.
It was a bit funny, there were just two days between the rounds and we found ourselves together in the same fam, ppl who fought and raided each other last round.
Following last round EOR war we were exhusted and looked for a more relaxed round.
This translated into a slow start but two more players have just joined the fam and we can now start to play. ” NewItaly

Not a good fam. 3 active members it seems, maybe 4. They are going to struggle with eco which means struggle to get fleet. That all leads to them getting farmed by jerk fams or getting beat by other small fams in wars. Either way, they are competing for last place.

3 players active. Not a good place to be. They do have some experience with the players they do have, so if they can get a random or 2, they might actually move up in the world. Until that time, they will turtle up and hope that they do not get eaten by families who can simply build way faster than them.
Quote: “ Let’s see… my fam is small ATM. I’ve had to blow away three members - two because of no-show/inactive and one who voluntarily stepped out because of real-life demands. So my fam is actively on the hunt for new members. As for winning, this is my first time as leader in a MW gal, so I’m keeping my goal down at “we survived.” Who knows if that will change, though? ” Audiodef

Right now, I see 5 strong eco fams currently leading the pack. That is actually quite good compared to previous rounds. Then there are 6 more fams that are the “middle of the pack” and have a real shot at moving into the top 5 in this stage of the round as attacking starts to become a factor. Sadly, unless something drastic changes, the bottom 4 I expect to stay there just about the entire round. Hopefully some of them can make moves, but that may be too little too late once bigger guys start asking them on dates.
