Its not that it is not OK to work together Luker, its the style of galaxy this is heading towards.
This is supposed to be the new Mathano/Virgo attempt by the looks of the posts from Pie.
There is no end point planned so no winner can ever be determined
We have MW/SN for competitive gameplay (UA/IA)
We have situations like you just trolling through my portals currently (which I have no issue with, there were no rule sets clearly definned before the start) that I can;t do anything about other than jump wizzies and throw opps around. I am merely trying to encourage discussion as to what this galaxy is meant to be heading towards and the point of it.
I already know of at least 2 people who are deleting or giving planets away as the galaxy has already been ruined by I an only assume the rivalry/grudges that have been carried over from MW.
We have Veg deleting for people taking half their planets and flip deleting coz the MOO alliance opped his iron and GC for his pop switch.
I am away for work and holidays in a few weeks time, and I see no point in leaving my galaxy in infintium as I would loose so much during that time in its current format that I hardlt see the point

I think there are definitely some grudges still going around - I don’t have any, I haven’t even played a round of MW for years (I played this one and the last one, buy I was dead by the 2nd and 3rd week respectively).
I think the biggest problem is the ops and how powerful they are/can be.
Someone gets attacked, loses a couple of planets, retaliates with a ton of ops and then it gets nasty and your in a horrible circle of opping.
I apologised to @MEMEGA ingame for the ops and here it is again.

but the fact that people even did it shows why this galaxy is painful for all except the lucky few who actually participate in this absurd notion of MOO & PIP “teaming”
PIP was supposed to be an infra and chill group, help out where needed but generally just to stop people getting farmed while we relax during a low key never ending galaxy - basically everyone was SS to an extent - we still have people more worried about their personal income than anything else 
People took offense at this “PIP alliance” and have gone out of their way to rival this. I am pretty sure if myself and Flip had not got a PIP tag on us then we wouldn’t have been looked at 
In my opinion, people need to realise that this galaxy was “supposed” to be the first step in creating a new mathano/virgo.
Disable the market and let people play SS so you can actualy learn for yourself without being forced to team or join an alliance to suceed/survive

Infinitum is meant to be a competitive galaxy just like MW and SN, “normal” in every other way except that it is never-ending.
The training aspect that relates to virgo is simply the Planet-Size Protection Threshold that would protect new players until they get 10 planets (or attack first).
Infinitum was never intended to be a relaxing galaxy or infra-focused galaxy. We can consider opening up a separate galaxy for that too though if players want it.

I think the issue is down to peoples individual definition of “competitive”
For me to be competiive I have to team and market aid, if thats the case, make bigger families

Players say things will be dead any time they don’t like something. It’s a meaningless statement.
In any case, it’s a good thing we’re working on features to change its current state.

As a returning old player coming back to try it out as it sounded like a cool idea…I think it would have just been better to have families of more than 1 person if people are just allowed to market aid each other. At least then as a returning player who doesnt know anyone I could have had the chance to land with some new potential friends rather than playing alone to watch someone immediately get market aid and jump fleet to beat me the moment I build my own fleet. :\

By definition it won’t be dead. That’s the point of it. Rebuild, move around, ally up if you need to, etc.
Old players coming back that don’t know anyone have that same disadvantage as someone new coming in who doesn’t know anyone. Other gals will go up, you can random in and make new friends. That’s the beauty of discord. If you really jump into the community you make friends, you figure out whos who, what’s going on, etc. There are a lot of new people recently who have just jumped in and given it a good go; myself included. Mind you I had the slight advantage of Damon to clarify things for me but I randomed into my first family and still playing with them now. I also jumped in to SN and infin. I’m a total noob, I’m getting my ass handed to me but that’s okay. That’s the game, that’s how you learn.
I think there’s something to be said for anything that changes in the game; being able to ally and market aid, etc. I’m also sure that just because it is okay to do now, didn’t stop it from happening when it wasn’t okay to do. That’s how people roll. I wasn’t here but I bet people were just more sneaky about it; if it’s not out in the open people don’t bitch about it if they don’t have hard proof, ya know?
I like infin the way it is but I can see how the people who are better at building up fast and started attacking could put people off, especially since people can just join whenever. I have a little core going on but I’ve already had people jump in and steal shit from me. Not cool but it happened and it’s whatever. I’m learning and adjusting on what to do when that happens

I heard that a really good player just lost a bunch of portals to UA ops and kinda gave up.
What do you think is missing in Ifny?

Personally, I think it would have been a much better go if there were 6 or so major alliances instead of just 2.
But PiP are the ones who started the first major alliance and then m00 was formed due to it. So it makes sense. Now PiP members are crying about the turn of events lol.
Also, if people don’t like grudges being held, don’t do things that will obviously cause a grudge to be held!

i think infinium is a fun galaxy, sadly some of the simular thing is happening here that happend in Supernova when UA was allowed there, when i started mag7.
The idea when I created PiP was to gather the people who want to infra in peace, Unfortunatly that has backfired abit and i think PiP has just as much of the blame as M00 for the attacks and ops that are flying. Specialy when players with the a tag who never made a singel attack or op, gets oped and attacked to shit.
At the moment i dont have as much time for the game so i am not too involved in whats going on but i am starting to feel that the UA is wrecking yet another galaxy. its just a question about time when some attacker gets funded to rape me down aswell, as i dont have the time or income to defend much against somone with a full infra crew backing them for fleet.
With the new standard of how people are alowed to group toegther, this is what we are left with i guess…
if we could have market go on strike for longer periods of time and more often might force players to build to be selfsuficiant instead of HC attack with market aid funding, i think that would change the dynamic some.
at the moment it just a waiting game for people to raped and go inactive.
If your taking out your anger and grudge against me on other PiP players who didnt cast a singel op or a singel attack and joined the Players in Peace allaince to infra. Maybe you should focus ur anger abit more
