I was not impersonating, I was using a name that no longer is in use.
Not to mention everyone knew who I was.
If Kagar no longer plays then the name should be open for use by anyone

Kagar is an existing player. Somebody asked you if you were Kagar, and you responded that it was a secret. That is impersonation.
I also didn’t know that Kagar was you until I looked into the report, so “everyone knew who I was” doesn’t fly either.
Whether or not you agree with the rule makes no difference. You are required to follow the rules, just like everybody else.

Using Kagar as a name is saying “I am Kagar”. If somebody asks you for clarity, the onus is on you to make sure they know that you aren’t who your name says you are.
You would be allowed to use the name if you had responded confirming that you are not actually Kagar.
It’s not a huge deal either way. There are no bans, just a name change. This won’t be possible soon anyway.
Kagar is also a film, so not sure why this was even mentioned in the topic…
Sure, and hoit is a town in central asia. It doesn’t mean that we want to allow somebody else to pretend to be you if you stop playing.

Going around pretending to be said person is, if WS had gone round saying he is Kagar or trying to take advantage of peopel thinking he was then sure slap him with the tickle feather.
But to bring something up whihc was completly unrelated to the topic is just stirring the pot
I agree, having the same name is not impersonating.
However, if another player asks him if he is the person that his name indicates he is, and he doesn’t disclose that he isn’t, that is impersonating. Kagar is a well-known player to many of us. I myself thought he actually came back the first time I saw WS as Kagar and didn’t know that it was WS and not actually Kagar.
As mentioned, he would have been allowed to keep the name if he had simply said “no, I’m not Kagar” when he was asked in private, but he chose not to.

This really isn’t that big of a deal.
