IC Radio is enjoyed by many, and players have expressed interest in helping. That’s awesome!
Here are some ways in which you can help:
Help edit the generated transcriptions
1. Help edit the generated transcriptions
IC-Radio sessions are edited and uploaded as The Imperial Conflict Podcast.
Transcriptions make the podcast accessible to players who find it more practical to read. We use temi.com to get us most of the way there, but the results are imperfect and require manual editing.
If you have some time and would like to help, you can do the following:
Step 1
Watch this quick (~1 minute) explanation of how temi.com works:
Step 2
Take a look at the #needs-transcription threads. Within them you will find the generated transcript broken up into 5 minute sections.
Reply to the thread with the section you want to claim.
Step 3
Visit the temi.com link for that episode, and edit your section.
The goal is more for readability than to transcribe verbatim. For example, we want to remove the "um"s, "you know"s, and other verbal crutches.
It’s also ok to occasionally inject punctuation to combat our (mostly my) tendency to speak in run-on sentences. Some of it sounds ok to listen to but reads pretty badly, so forcing breakpoints helps a bit where we can do so while also preserving the original meaning.
When finished, reply to the thread again letting us know.

If you’d like to help but don’t have time to assist with the transcript edit, donations are welcome to sponsor the automated temi.com transcriptions.
These cost $.10 USD per minute, so each episode is usually around $4-$6 USD.
To donate, you can:
-
Subscribe via Patreon and also receive rewards.
- This option will get you credited as part of the Patreon group.
-
Provide a 1-time donation via paypal.me/imperialconflict.
- This option will get you credited individually.
Any amount helps! Thank you!
