HAHAHA. Dem NAP Breaks YO

This is inaccurate. NAP-break history is still happening. The wiki thing is in addition to that, not a replacement for it. See below:

You assume too much.

Here’s the reality: as I recently told @HydroP, it is not impossible that we will eventually shut down IC if it doesn’t grow.

People go on and on about how “UA makes IC horrible”. The truth is, if IC can’t work without banning UA, then IC itself is horrible. We are finally confronting that instead of hiding behind a BS rule that you yourself admit people got around anyway when it was enforced:

This isn’t me just trying to dissect your messages. This is me calling out reality. The rule against UA never solved anything, and people ignored it anyway.

I understand the message of what you are saying. The reality is though, “sticking to rules” as you describe means that we need a team of moderators to comb through in-game messages and effectively have a court-like experience to judge what constitutes “illegal coordination” on a case-by-case basis, potentially dozens of times per round.

That will kill the game.

Literally. Not like “UA is killing the game” type criticism, but literally I could end up having to shut down imperialconflict.com and the servers because it will be not be sustainable for Foohon Pie LLC, the company I created to run it.

It is critical for IC’s survival that we take it’s long term growth more seriously.

I need to actually work on the game’s code and design, not waste my time managing a team of mods to enforce a rule that prevents us from confronting the game’s problems.

UA is a scapegoat. It didn’t ruin anybody’s round. UA didn’t force players to do anything. What UA did do, is show us all how badly Imperial Conflict is broken at its core.

Imperial Conflict’s problems have to be confronted if we ever expect to grow. milky-way-68 was necessary for this to happen.
