@Cells if it’s not harrassment, “ruining” a round is allowed. This was “The Bara Rule” and was removed a little over 2 years ago.
The absence of that rule is very much a reason somebody would want to go into hiding. Your other reasons are valid too.
You’re exactly right about valid reasons to be anonymous, but that isn’t the problem here. The problem is that currently, nobody in the game is allowed to do that, and AW made it a point that he could. He was the single only person in the entire game who had the ability to hide only from his enemies.
The fallacy is thinking that if nobody tells you about it, that it doesn’t exist. People don’t even have to be aware of their own biases, let alone inform others of them.
We can’t prove that AW going undercover made somebody not attack you: that’s impossible. What we can prove though is that you guys were able to forego a potential liability.
Again: if it made no difference, then why did he want to do it? It can’t be argued that he felt it necessary to hide and also that hiding made no difference. These are opposites: they cannot both be true.
You guys are doing a great job, but that doesn’t negate the fact that you had something that no other family did. It doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t otherwise be #1, but it also doesn’t mean that you definitely would.
@Cells is absolutely right: AW being undercover did not make you guys organize or do con jumps. What it did was mitigate a risk that you would be attacked when trying to do so.
That is a strategic advantage.
This is not true. You guys did gain an unfair advantage. That is not in question.
The decision here is whether or not that advantage warrants deletion. That is what this vote is for.
We’re gonna go ahead and call this. Thank you all for your insight and respectful debate.
