Cakeday
Your cakeday is your forum anniversary. You’ll get a tasty slice of cake on your profile and next to all of your posts. 
You can also see a list of cakedays here.
Birthday
Your birthday is your actual birth day. You’ll get an entire cake 
on your profile and next to all of your posts. 
You can also see a list of birthdays for a given month. Here’s May, the month I myself celebrate becoming older and crankier every year. 
Only use if you want to!
The birthday feature is optional and disabled by default, but you can set it up in your preferences page by providing your birth month and day (no year necessary).
