Try loging out from your account, and log back in. That should solve the problem.

since the game does not automatically log you out, you have to go to switch empire on every device you play on. If Pie tries to fix it, most likely it will break the not logging out part. Easiest fix would be for you to switch empires to update your game. Easiest fix for Pie would be to log everyone out at the start of attacks.
