Hello World!
I’m Kayne Ruse, a game developer (not for THIS game, though). I’ve been a gamedev for 15 years and counting, and most recently released a physical card game (which isn’t for sale due to the pandemic closing the printers )
I’m here to help improve Imperial Conflict, and I’m looking forward to getting to know you all! Is there anything I need to know from the community? Who is the “top dog”, so to speak? Are there any dominant strategies that I should follow when playing?
History with Imperial Conflict
I’m on the “Release Team” I think. I’m helping in the dev server to hunt down bugs and issues as an “Expert Newbie”.
What that means is: I know everything that goes into making A game, but I’m unfamiliar with THIS game. So I can spot smaller problems or inconsistencies that veteran players and devs would instinctively overlook. I’ve already reported over a dozen bugs in less than a week (granted, some of them are just grammar issues, etc.).
I’ve also made some suggestions for mechanical changes to the game - nothing catastrophic, but enough to hopefully shake up the game for those who are too comfortable. Don’t worry, I don’t plan on doing anymore than suggestions - I hate PHP
Other Hobbies
Games are my life - I was born with a controller in my hand. In the last few years, I’ve gotten into board gaming too. I also watch the occasional anime and read the occasional manga (Made in Abyss is my favourite in both categories), and I have a crazy collection of 200+ hardback marvel comics that I want to sell…
Thanks for reading!
Anyway, as I said, I’m hoping to get to know you all, and to improve the game alongside you all! I believe the community is the heart and soul of a game like this, and I’m happy to be a part of it!
