There’s no veiled justification, just offering my own perspective. Worth repeating for clarity:
Players often criticize me for not playing, and to a degree that criticism is valid. However, it also gives me a fairly unbiased perspective as I have no reason to pick one side over the other.
I’m not calling you out, I’m defending the name of players who I know to be good players, as they are being publicly trashed over something that is more complicated than is being presented.
There are definitely players who disregard any sense of honor entirely, but imo neither Pickle nor AW fall into that category. See Pickle’s comment here:

In some ways, MW68 had a very beta-like quality to it. We need to remember that context when judging each others’ actions for this round. We can and should be critical without insulting each other.
But yeah, that adderall comment was out of line. Why not flag it? You have the power to kill that stuff too.
Darrk we never hide… My player name is always in my leader name. Most of us were quitting before the first war even started. This is no longer a competitive game. It just allows unskilled players like yourself to hide behind big alliances. Just like you did back in the old MW days.
The reason I commented on your statement specifically, is that you are saying that 50 out of 60 thinks AW and Pickle are dishonorable. At that point, you are speaking for others, not just yourself.
If you are going to speak on behalf of the majority of the community, then I want to make sure players know where I stand. You looped everybody in with that comment.
If you were to say “I think you are shitty” then I probably wouldn’t care, but speaking on behalf of the community is a different thing, and I have reason to comment on that.
“Team who I like” is all of you guys. I have an interest in defending good players, which includes you too.
Really though, I would stay out of it for the most part if players would just speak for themselves. If you’re going to speak on behalf of the majority of players, you should expect a response from those who might not appreciate you speaking for them.
By your own logic then, I was incorrect to ever argue in your defense.
