whole op page could use a bit of overhaul tbh. Outstanding ops would be wonderful too, as in “your cpff on planet whatever takes hold in x ticks” like a summary page. I think i remember something about this in the battle report idea anyway.

Definitely. The idea here is more of a concept than a specific implementation design. No matter how the game looks, players should be able to retry on failure if they want.
